West Jakarta Gradually Reopens Reopen Green Spaces

Residents can visit, as long as they adhere to health protocols

Not only RPTRAs in North Jakarta, a number of parks in West Jakarta have also been reopened in stages since October 12.

West Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Sub-agency Head, Unas Affandi expressed this policy was in accordance with the PPAPP Agency Decree number 261/2020 on Management of RPTRA during transitional PSBB.

"Residents can visit, as long as they adhere to health protocols," he said, Monday (10/19).

He explained visitors were only over nine years old and under 60 years old, with the number of visitors at 50 percent of normal capacity. They could only use a few facilities, such as a jogging track and a reflection park.

"All rooms, such as prayer rooms, halls, libraries, lactation, managers, PKK and gross mart are temporarily closed," he explained.

Further, all officers and visitors should wear masks, maintaining physical distancing and wash their hands with soap in running water.

"We open at 7 AM to 5 PM," he stated.
